  • Financial Management Expert. A Chartered Financial Analyst, who earned an MBA and two BS degrees in finance and management, Richard has administered hundreds of millions of public and private assets.
  • ARMY Reserves Captain. Richard began his service as a Military Intelligence Analyst and served as Company Commander of 160 soldiers and $53 million in equipment and resources.
  • Sunnyvale Personnel Board. Richard was appointed by our City Council to work to resolve employment disputes involving city workers.
  • Police Academy Graduate. In 2008, Richard graduated from South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consort, earning a Police Academy certificate.
  • Board Member, Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. As the non-profit’s volunteer Treasurer, Richard oversaw a 200% increase in annual revenues from $1.9 million to $3.9 million.

A longtime South Bay resident and Sunnyvale homeowner, Richard and Amy, have two boys who attend Lakewood Tech Elementary. Their family has two dogs, Buck and Tank.
