Issues

I intend to be an easily accessible and always engaging public servant. I look forward to working for you to improve our quality of life in the place we all call home.

Paramedic Response Times Are Dangerously High!

Sunnyvale is unfortunately unique. We don’t employ our own paramedics. We have no direct contract with any private emergency services provider.

Sunnyvale residents receive “free” paramedic service from a private county contractor, AMR. Financially, that makes us last on the list for vital services.

This arrangement is intolerable. As your Council Member, I will do everything in my power – as fast as possible – to solve our medical crisis and ensure excellent paramedic response.

Violent Crime Is Rising Too Rapidly In Sunnyvale

The 10-year increase in aggravated assault rose an incredible 76%. It jumped over 17% last year. For rape, it’s 45% and 6.7%. Urgent police calls were up 18.5% last year alone.

The answer is to hire more police officers. It’s time we invest in our public safety. We must also retain our veteran cops and improve our crime prevention programs.

As a Police Academy graduate, I will use what I learned to advocate for better crime-fighting with my fellow council members and public safety management.

We Shouldn’t Have To Drive To Santa Clara To Shop For Food

District 6 residents simply don’t have enough local retail options.

Our city government must focus on providing location incentives and promoting North Sunnyvale as an attractive retail market. I will work hard with city staff and fellow council members to bring desirable retail to District 6.

We Must Enact Housing Elements of the Moffett Park Specific Plan

20,000 new homes have already been unanimously approved by our City Council, including 4,000 affordable units. Let’s move forward with this much-needed housing for our community
